Christopher Killer (Destiny)

The book "The Christopher Killer" was an amazing read. It's about a girl who has to fight through the choices of others that say she can't do what she loves to do and that's be a forensic scientist. She loves to examine the dead and wants nothing more than to be like her dad. After the Christopher Killer kills one of her friends things get personal and she feels as though it's her job to go and get things done. After doubting everyone and anyone that might have been the killer she finds the true answer with her bravery when she sneaks into the physic, Jewel's room and over hears him practically admit that he had murdered her friend. She's a brave young girl that sticks her neck out to finish the case that she so believes that she must finish.

In ''The Hunger Games'' Katnipp has to overcome the challenges the capitol faces her with. On her jouney she goes through in the games she learns traits like loyalty, courage, and love. She fights through the games portraying her love for Peeta to keep both of them alive and the crowd liking them. Katnipp faces a decision from someones life (Peeta) and her best friend Gale. Showing the love with Peeta goes against the bond/relationship that was starting with Gale. She shows courage when saving Peeta, and loyalty when getting revenge for Rue's death.

Through this book I've learned how love and friendship can go against eachother even when you dont want them too. In life you have to sacrifice the ones you love, for the ones you love.. Making decisions to help the life of another even though it may ruin your life back home. I've also learned that theres always going to be a point in life when this happens to everyone. A situation like letting go, for the better cause of another.

Dear Peeta,

I hear you are falling for a girl named Katiniss. I consider myself a bit of an expert in the area of rejected love. I've had 19 girls - all by the name Katherine - dump me, and I'm still looking for love. I'm telling you now that you should not give up on her. Soon, she will figure out who is best to have by her side. For now, you just have to let her decide for herself. You'll find out that as long as she's happy, you're happy. You tow are either meant to be or not, but you will find the one you're meant to be with. I did. (and she's not a Katherine.)

Go get your man girl. I knew if I didn't go after Julian then he was going to be gone forever. He would be lost to the nasty girl Tiffany instead of being with me someone who actually cared for him. Dear Alexa,

I understand where you are coming from. Saving the people you care for but then your family and friends are trying to stop you cause they think your crazy. I have the exact same problem, nobody in my town thinks that I can become a good forensic scientist, but I know I can be a great one! My dad is probably the only one that supports me, like how your dad supports you. The only thing is though, you fight mythical monsters and I examine the dead, a big difference but yet we face the same problems! How weird is that? Anyways, don’t let anyone stop you! They may say your crazy and only a child still but just stand tall, laugh in their face and say, “It’s my life and I can do what I want with it!” You gotta keep a positive attitude when it comes to others critiques and insults. Just know that you’re good at what you do; if it’s from saving the world and talking to animals to examining dead bodies and catching the killer than so be it! Just keep your head high and stand tall!!

Dear Peak,

I know having to leave the pea's at home alone with your mom is going to be hard. I had to leave my sister home with my mother too and my mother has been going through some tough times. Im the one that brings the food home every day and night. But dont worry about them, they still have your mom and step father, and at least your mom and step dad have jobs and can pay for food and shelter for your sisters. My sisters going to have to sell the milk from the goat i got her for one of her birthdays to make money for food. The pea's are in good hands, so dont stress out about there safety.

Pirates (Ariel)

The protagonist in Pirates is Naancy Kingston. She is a young lady that has had a hard yet lush life. She has to deal with a horrid stepmother and brother that are both determined to see her married. Nancy has always loved her childhood friend, Wiliam, who is a sailor in the Navy. The antagonist in the story is the strikingly beautiful yet evil Brazillian Bartholome. He is a rich plantation owner that lives on Jamaica and is determined to make Nancy his wife. On her 16th birthday, he gave her an incredible ruby necklace that led to a wild goose chase across the open waters. Bartholome puts his trust in those stones, and they lead him to her wherever she goes. No matter how hard she tries to get rid of him, he always finds her. He finds out she is on a pirate ship and he hunts every pirate ship down in order to find her. I've decided he's mental.

Zack got caught for shooting chickens. Then he got in trouble for shooting Michael. They continue to play games and win, and lose some. Nick continues to put in the effort on keeping his grades up, while Trent struggles. Zack will probably get in a lot of trouble, and his friends aren't to happy with the incident. Zack played on the team, and when he played his first game he was so stunned and joyful. Now he might not be able to play any games at all because he got in trouble for shooting chickens and people.

In the book The Christopher Killer; Cameryn is the protagonist, being strong willed and daring and being able to stand up for her rights and what she believes in. The antagonist is Jewel, he just is plain evil and is constantly fighting to get away with his murderous plan. He is cold and intelligent but he is also still bad. The only thing that they have in common is that they both live in a small town that leads them to think of the impossible, to reach out and hold the future in their hands. They have problems consisting of the fact that Jewel kills people and speaks to the dead and that Cameryn works as a foreinsic scientist that also work with the dead. SO strange that they come from the same background and they both end up working with the ones who have passed.

Murphy and Birdie are the opposite of each other in many ways. Birdie is the gooody little girl that does everything she is told, and never sticks up for herself. Unlike Murphy who is free spirited, always getting into trouble and NEVER does whats asked of her.

East (Madi)
In East the protagonist is Rose who is a very spirited child. Which is why her mother never let her go because she was told in life she would die in the ice under mounds of snow. The antagonist in this book is the Troll Queen. After 150 years the white bear (whose a real man) has been under a spell that her father the Troll King put on him for his daughter taking him away from the green lands. Rose is trying to save the white bear man that she got taken away from her. Not knowing where he is she sets off to find him. Unlike the Troll Queen she has been erasing his memory with a drink called slank. The similarity between the two though is the both desire to be with the man they're both in love with.

The good guy in my book is really a girl. Her name is Katnipp. The antagonist is ''The Capitol''. The Capitol are the leaders of all the districts. They are cruel and evil to the districts, espeicially Katnipp's district. She lives in district 12 wich is the very last district. The higher the number, the less supplies, money, and wealth there is. They're both similar in little but no ways at all. They differ in a countless number of ways.

The Christopher Killer (Destiny)
My prediction is that Justin comes in to save Cameryn from Dr.Jewel. Because Jewel has just been proven that he's the Christopher Killer. All the evidence proves that Jewel is the killer. The fake alibi, the car rentals, the alliances. All of this points to Jewel being the Christopher Killer and his phony physic abilities. So now that Justin is cleared and innocent and Jewel is the bad guy it's only clear that Justin--Cameryn's love interest--saves her from the bad guy.

Peaches (Raymond)
Muphy Mcgowen just fell on the train tracks and broke the bottle of alcohol all over herself. The guy she was with left her and sped away in his honda just as Walter got there. Walter is the owner of the peaches farm and the owner of the bottle of alcohol that Muphy stole. My prediction of what is going to happen is that Muphy is going to have to work on the peach farm instead of getting charged with theft. Muphy is trying to make her life more exciting right now so I think shes going to end up doing something inappropriate while working on the peach farm. This book is going by way to slow..

Night Hoops (Isaiah)
Hello I am Isaiah Trower, and I happen to be reading "Night Hoops". Anyway, one day at tryouts Trent gets frustrated with the coach, and yells out some explitives. Nick makes the team, and they already started to play some games. Trent wants to play on the team, but he has some grade problems, and the coach still remembers what he did that one day at practice. Nick grades are fine, and he has no problem keeping them up. Anyway I am Isaiah Trower and reading this book kind of sucks, but its okay because im doing this for you Ms. Arrendale. This book is going by way to fast..

In East Rose went back home to visit her family. When the White Bear dropped off Rose he told her "Don't tell your mom about me". After Rose tried all she could to keep the stranger sleeping in the bed next to her at night a secret, she ended up telling Neddy. She overheard her mother went into the town and bought a candle that was told to stay lit even during the roughest winds. Going back to the castle with the White Bear, Rose wondered if Neddy had told mother about the night stranger. After having this happen I believe that Rose is going to end up lighting the candle, falling into the temptation. Rose wanting to know her night stranger is, is more than likely to light the candle and look for herself.

Peaches (Dahnyelle)
I predict that Birdie ( the farm girl ) and Enrico ( one of the latin workers on the farm ) are going to end up having a relationship, but only if Birdie get the courage to be alone with a boy and grows p a little bit. I predict this because in the book on page 59 Enrico comes over to the farm in his newly bought car ( not new looking )car to see his friends and Birdie and the girls come out to see him and Birdie and Enrico are all flirty and clearly interested in eachother. when enrico offers to take her for a ride she turns him down because she was too scared but hopefully she gets over her fears so that my prediction is true....because I hate being wrong......its bad.

Pirates (Ariel)
I think Nancy is going to get rid of Duke because he's being cruel to the slaves. Duke thinks of them as savages that need to be disciplined at all times. He's also trying ot get rid of Nancy's new friends and servants, Minerva and Phyllis. Nancy is also tired of Duke talking to Joseph and telling him that she needs to be married and to stop being friendly to the slaves. Nancy is the owner of the plantation now that her father is dead, and she feels it is all wrong. She wants the cruelty to stop, so I'm pretty sure she's going to try to get rid of Duke to stop a possible marriage and slavery on her plantation. I've already read this book....

Entry 2

The Westing Game (Ariel)
The setting of The Westing Game is at Sunset Towers, the apartments next to the home of old, dead Sam Westing. This is where the 16 heirs and family stayed most of the time. On the ground floor is Mr. Hoo's restaurant, the Theodoakis's coffee shop, and Jake Wexler's Orthapedic office. The floors above are where all heirs except Otis Amber and Sandy McSouthers live. The placement of Sunset Towers to the Westing Mansion is quite eerie. Those that wish to look out the window will see the beautiful view of Lake Michigan as well as the mansion, reminding them of the game they are all a part of. Also, if observed well enough, one will notice things that would help them win.

The Hunger Games (Raymond)
The rules have changed. Two tributes from the same district can win. Katniss and Peeta must work together to stay alive in the deadly arena ranging from a forest to grain fields to a lake in the middle of a dead minefield. The gamemakers draw the final three to the infamous cornucopia for one last bloodbath. At the last second, the rule change is revoked, leaving Katniss and Peeta arguing over who's going to live while all 12 districts and the capitol watch in anticipation with a clear view of the two star-crossed lovers.

Night Hoops (Isaiah)
The story takes place in a city called "Bothell". Two boys named Luke and Nick try to make the varsity team for the Cougars. It is kind of a positive setting because I think both of the boys have the capability of making the team. One thing that is negative though is they both worry too much about making the team. With reading about how they played before the tryouts, I think they both will make it, and play together.

East (Madi)
The setting in East is out on a farm in Isbjorn. Rose and her family are having problems trying to keep the farm, but when things go down the family is forced to leave the evacute the house. Rose and her family work day and night to keep the farm, her father who isn't that great of a farmer struggles to keep the family fed. With the family is going through starvation, Rose's father takes the last of teh money and buys Rose the wool that is needed for her cloak. Once the family is evacuted they move into their neighbor's house.



Peaches (Dahnyelle)
The setting in Peaches is on a peach farm. Due to Murphy Mcgowens rebelious behavior she is sent to her uncles peach farm for two weeks of hard labor to make her learn a good life lesson.Whe she gets to the farm she shows little enthusiasmn to get started. Birdie her cousin is an awkward girl. She does what she is told and takes orders from anybody; in other words she has no back bone. Murphy on the other hand is a different story. She will stand up for what she belives, and talk back to anyone she wants but hopefully her time at the farm will do her some good.

The setting for my book is in Silverton, Colorado. A small town that not alot of people know about. Cameryn was born and raised in Silverton and knows just how a small town like hers works. She's just a simple girl who wants nothing more than to be a forensic scientist like her father, even if she has a queasy stomache. But with a crazy catholic grandma, a friend who believes in the great beyond and nothing but suicide cases it's suprising that she doesn't just give up. But when one of her friends ends up being killed by the infamus Christopher Killer, everything goes downhill. People asking her for any dirt about the case so they can get some TV time, her faith and science being tested by a physic that says he can talk to Cameryn's friend, and when dirt about her mom comes back up from the grave things get messy.

Entry 1

East (Madi)
The main charcter is Rose. Well her name is really Ebba, but people call her Rose since it seems to fit her better. Rose ends up finding a white bear, who her brother Neddy witnessed. Wondering why it didn't harm Rose who was only two years when she ran off and encountered the white bear. The bear was holding Rose in it's powerful jaws that could kill her in a second. Strangly the bear dropped Rose infront of Neddy who was startled by the bear. Neddy watched as the bear wandered back into the woods. Rose didn't seem scared as she rejoiced with her older brother by hugging him.

Katniss is put into a fight to the death with 23 other teens. 1 boy and 1 girl from each district are put into an arena to show what will happen if the districts rebel against the capitol. The only problem is she likes the boy from her district. She's denying it and talking about killing him, but there really is something between the two. There can only be one winner in The Hunger Games.

The Westing Game (Ariel)
The many characters of The Westing Games find our that they are all a part of a game old Sam Westing had planned out before he got murdered. All pawns in his game had a different job and part in the game to win his inheritance. It would all work out as long as no one made a mistake, but dear old Uncle Sam made a mistake from the very beginning. He invited an old lady by the name of Sydelle Pulaski to play a part in the game. This is Sam Westing's first mistake. Out of the 16 heirs, only 15 were supposed to be there.

Murphy McGowen, who had boys popping into her life left and right, was never able to find a loyal and trustworthy boy because they only came in one flavor...hot jerks. When there was a situation in which she needed his help, Murphy's love interest thought only of himself and left her behind with punishable concequences.

The Christopher Killer (Destiny)
Camryn (the main character in “The Christopher Killer”) wants to be a forensic scientist, but she has a fear of the dead bodies that she faces. She’s too attached and thinks to much about the people that she examines making her a liability at times with her random vomiting and constant distractions. Not to mention that her best friend Lyric is spiritual; which rubs off on Camryn’s thoughts and how she sometimes deals with the cases and the people who have died.

Night Hoops (Isaiah)
Nick is getting better at basketball. He usually loses against his brother Trent when he verses him in a basketball game. Then one day they scrimmage against each other again and Nick loses. He asks for a rematch and he starts off getting spanked like 8-0. During the middle of the game Trent gets cocky and gets lazy because he thinks he has the game won. When Nick starts to play with all of his effort he starts to come back, and he pulls off the win. Nick now has to worry about getting beat up by Zack and Trent for pushing there friend down a hill...
